Chicagoans In Need.
Dear Chicago,
It’s holiday time and there are Chicagoans in need. SO, it’s time to decide what you are able to give and do and then get giving and doing.
One of my favorite non-profits Reason to Give has a ton of ways you can help/give at whatever level you are able (be that financial or effort).
- Toy/Coat Drive - Drop off new toys or new/gently used coats to Woman Made Gallery on Milwaukee Ave now through December 15th.
- Go to the Reason to Give website and watch a video of a family in need, decide whose story is most compelling to you and donate at any price point.

- Attend the Firebelly Design Pop Up Shop on December 10th from 11am - 5pm and buy badass locally made art + design holiday gifts and 50% of the proceeds got to Reason to Give!
- Do you have access to resources like: flooring, paint, building supplies, etc? Well we are planning an extreme home makeover for the Singleton Family whose house is literally falling down around them. Who needs ABC when you have Chicagoans! (Although if ABC reads this and wants to get involved we are soooo down). Here’s the deal: This family needs everything. Literally. We are planning an extreme home makeover for MLK weekend … we are building a small army of volunteers + soliciting donations. We need donations of: Flooring, Paint, Painting Supplies, Carpentry Services, Electricians, General Contractors, Moving Company for one day, Furniture, Clothing and VOLUNTEERS to help make this happen.
